General Program Information > Referees
If you have a love for soccer and want to get paid for participating, then becoming a referee is just for you! Referees are needed during the regular season and for the year-end tournament. All referees receive training from certified SAY Referee Trainers. Training dates will be posted as soon as they become available.

All referees are provided with a referee jersey (returned at the end of the season) and a whistle (yours to keep). All applicants must be 14 prior to July 31, 2012 to be a referee this coming season. You will also be required to provide your Social Security number in order to receive your pay. You will be placed in your own community unless circumstances arise that a referee is needed elsewhere for a game. Please note that KCYSA is NOT your employer. You work as an Independent Contractor for KCYSA.

If you are interested in becoming a referee for KCYSA or have any questions about the referee program, please contact the Director of Referees, Cory Massart at referees@kcysa.org.
